For many people, exercise videos seem like the right answer to becoming more physically active and fit. Let’s face it, exercise videos are a huge business that’s been around since Jane Fonda hit the scene. They’re more economical than having a Personal Trainer on a regular basis. They’re convenient and can be done in the privacy of your own home. Collage Video, with thousands of video choices, claims to be the exercise video experts since 1987. Long time video exercise gurus Denise Austin, Kathy Smith, Billy Blanks, and Gilad are now joined by the likes of Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper of Biggest Loser fame. Between 2006 and 2007, 8.5 million fitness DVDs were sold in the US. Obviously people buy them, but do they work?

The answer? “yes” and “no”. It’s really about two things, the video and you.
The video must be safe, have an effective routine/program, and be interesting and engaging.
You must be relatively healthy, injury free, able to repeat movements as shown in good form, AND be self motivated enough to actually do the video workout on your own 2-3 times/week.

What if you had a home consultation with a top Personal Trainer to determine your needs and goals?

What if the Personal Trainer created an exercise program to specifically meet your needs?

What if you were taught how to do the exercises and those cues and techniques were recorded on video?

and what if your program was all captured on video for your future use?

Wouldn’t that be the best way to do a home exercise video?

Now, with specialties in post-rehabilitation, weight loss, and brain fitness, NSCA’s 2009 Personal Trainer of the Year, Mark Nutting is now creating custom-made exercise videos just for you.

If you live in the Greater Portland area and are interested in having your very own personal workout video, contact Mark at 281-2777 for more information.
